Being sick or homebound and unable to come to Mass is difficult for us. Being in these circumstances means that we are separated from our church family and unable to join in parish activities. The goal of ministry to the homebound is to provide sick, homebound or hospitalized parishioners with The Sacraments and pastoral care. The pastor, deacon and Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion travel to the homebound, bringing them Eucharist and offering them prayer and companionship. If you or a loved one becomes sick or homebound, please call the Rectory to inform us about the circumstances. We offer training to those interested in becoming ministers to the homebound.

Inspired by Gospel values, The Society of St. Vincent de Paul includes men and women who join together to offer person-to-person service to the needy and suffering. Through their ministry, Vincentians grow spiritually using the models of Blessed Frederic Ozanam and St. Vincent de Paul. The Society collaborates with others of good will in the community to build up the human family.

Isn’t it a great feeling when we receive a card, note or message from a friend who remembers our birthday, anniversary or other special occasion? St. Ann’s Sunshine Ministry reaches out to homebound, sick and elderly parishioners and helps them feel connected to the broader parish community by doing just this! We hope that when parishioners receive the outreach of the Sunshine Ministry that they feel as if a big, bright ray of SUNSHINE is shining down on them from above, filled with God’s Love.
